Everton boss Roberto Martinez says he is aiming to bring silverware to Goodison Park.
Martinez led Wigan Athletic to FA Cup glory last season.
Roberto Martinez wants to feed his new-found addiction – by helping Everton end a trophy drought that stretches back almost two decades.
Martinez proved a compelling argument to replace David Moyes as manager at Goodison by guiding Wigan Athletic to their shock FA Cup final win over Manchester City in May.
And the Spaniard admits he has now acquired a taste for success with Everton seeking their first trophy since 1995.
“Once you win silverware it is an addictive feeling,” said Martinez. “I do feel that that is something we want to continue here.
Redknapp underwent surgery on Tuesday to fix a knee cartilage problem and has been forced to get around in a wheelchair and on crutches for the next six weeks.
The 66-year-old was at St James Park on Friday night to see his team draw 0-0 with Exeter City in their latest pre-season friendly.
And it needed three men - two stewards and a kindly QPR supporter - to lift his wheelchair to his seat at the top of the Flybe stand.
But Redknapp appeared in characteristic high spirits despite being incapacitated until the beginning of the season.
